Hi there, I'm Jenny.

A little bit about me...



 I've been serving the elderly population for close to twenty years now. I got my start as a home support worker in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. It wasn't long into the job that I found myself staying late at work, not because I had to, but because I enjoyed spending time visiting with the residents. Fast forward to a new city, a Recreation & Leisure Diploma and 16 years of recreation programming experience in long term care and retirement.

Do I still love it? Yup, I sure do!

 

Working with the elderly, especially those living with dementia is second nature to me. I can easily say without a doubt that it is my life's work. I love the entire process of program creation from identifying residents' needs all the way to the evaluation.

I have designed this website to serve and share my creativity with you, the people you care about and serve. Please join me in the community forum where we can share ideas, tips, tricks, recipes, life hacks and support each other.

Outside of my work life, I love music & travel, and especially travelling for music!

As a typical Canadian girl, I love camping and fishing in the summer. In our cold Canadian winters, I enjoy keeping warm in my kitchen while I cook up some soup or bake my favourite banana chocolate chip bread.  

I have a love for collecting all things Hello Kitty and hope to come across one of her pop up cafe's one of these days.

 My husband Chris and I live in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada with our two sweet cats Myszka & Ozzy.
